the bells were tolling so loudly this morning
went for a friend's wedding this morning. oof... waking up early on a saturday morning is nothing to joke about.
hmm... pretty nice ceremony held at church of the holy rosary in brickfields. the bridesmaid was as beautiful as ever. eh... why am i talking about the bridesmaid? errr... the bride was as beautiful as ever. the groom on the otherhand looked as good as he could.
the priest gave a long homily (sermon) on marriage. sigh... father daniel lim. i felt like i was in catechism (sunday school) all over again. this was the same priest who presided over my first holy communion (at the church of the assumption in petaling jaya). i used to be terrified of him cause he was always a practitioner of goodness himself. being a naughty rascal myself... then i grew to like his way of doing things with great deliberation as an altar server (altar boy). it was after he left that i grew to fear the next priest who was from the paris foreign missions (or les missions etrangeres de paris, MEP). this bunch of priest are extremely goody goody who had given up their personal life and homeland to serve in foreign lands. this man, father andrew volle struck fear in me due to his style of doing everything quickly. no mistakes or you get a stern look and you knew then you should have done more instead of just playing around.
now, we are taking a breather which was not really necessary as the photo taking was done quickly by the highly competent photography crew. the break is necessary for the heat we faced today in the traffic.
next up is the dinner and i wonder what the bridesmaid will be wearing. damn... i mean i'm sure the bride will look radiant as she normally is.
quite an old friend i must say. not old in years but long in friendship. we've known each other since we were 15 and i must say she really helped get me through my teens. she reminded me how important it is not to disregard our morality and turned me into someone that can be trusted (even by strangers).
--- a dear friend.
