for our friend's gain

we ought to ask oneself why we tell others about something.

i have heard many things that are totally wrong because people have bad memories, they do not have the capability to understand something so they misunderstood something, they are partly deaf and can't catch what people say correctly, or they are too busy listening to themselves.

i really enjoy our rare debates but you don't know the other debates i've had with others who believe they know more than they do.

so what is it that makes people talk? just to have something to say even if it's nonsense and gossip that may harm others or put them in a bad light?

a good reason to tell something to our friends is for their gain. pass them knowledge that will be useful to them or even if it's not useful can help unleash a new way of thinking and looking at things for them. if you do something good for your friends, you will ultimately gain as well since mixing with smart people will make oneself smarter. it just keeps the ball rolling in the right direction.

... and this is part of what love is.
