All Things In Life Depends On Your Theology

all things in life depends on your theology. god exists therefore there are atheist. so despite my believe in god, i fall into atheism occasionally. if god does not exist then there is no need for the existence of atheism. same reason for the existence of protestants in christianity: their purpose is to protest the practices of the universal (catholic) church and the practices of protestants of other christian denominations.

prophets are messengers of god. they are not soothsayers or fortune tellers. they just pass on the word of god.

jesus brought a strong message; how strong depends on how each individual values it. as far as the role of jesus is concerned, it is (not was) to bring hope, as a reminder to be good and to give a few examples on how to lead a saintly life. god knows the human need to understand things in a limited human fashion. jesus christ was necessary in order for us to see 'with our own eyes'. the limitation is due to our requirement demanding an understand of all things within the pool of our knowledge or capabilities. as we can often see a lack of mental capability in others and much more seldom in ourselves, it is not a simple matter to discern our own conclusions and assumptions of life. what we do not understand, we fear. for some, ignorance exist even when the truth hits them square on the head. quite often, people ignore or dismiss the truth as they fear there is nothing left to discover thence or for its utter simplicity.

a man of faith does not need to give others reasons for his belief. he merely needs to practice good deeds and live life as he knows to be good for others. nice guys finish last; good guys finish well.

the prophets came among those who most seriously required correction in their way of life. hence examples were made out of the jews and arabs. as a chinese, i am glad i am not engaged in mass murder. i am grateful for the opportunity to engaged god in a manner where i listen and do what brings me and my brothers and sisters peace. god does not consider people from other ethnic groups as ignorant because we have always known god through other ways. it does not have to be known in a specific language or culture before it becomes a genuine relationship with our maker. god created a diversity which we should simply enjoy.

miracles happen constantly. for anything which you consider routine or take for granted, there is someone else who looks at it as a miracle. a person may grow bored of seeing a flower bloom whereas another may see it for the miracle it is. i remember times when i was young i marvelled at how many legs an ant has, how birds could fly and i could not. god gave me the scientific knowledge to understand a little of the miracles happening constantly. my understand of science is every much a miracle as well. when one has enough knowledge on miracles happening all around us, one may actually fall to the knees and weep.

there has been a number of prophets coming and going over time. for me, one is enough. despite that, there have been many as you may have noticed. not enough? how many is needed then? would you consider me a prophet as well as i am sharing my thoughts with you? maybe in the past those whom we consider prophets were not thought as such? so how? i would more likely (if not absolutely) trust god over a man would i not? there is no need to send men when god is always present. if you need to see god, look in the mirror.

a greek philosopher, Epictetus (55AD - 135AD) quotes: 'I am always content with that which happens; for I think that what God chooses is better than what I choose.' which i adapt to: 'I am always content with what happens; for I know that what God chooses is better than what I choose.' the translation does not lose so much of the intended meaning this way.
